Who is responsible for your information
Sightline Analytics Ltd is the controller of personal information covered by this notice. Sightline Analytics Ltd is registered in England and Wales under company number 17376371. The registered office is 71–75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London WC2H 9JQ.
Privacy enquiries can be sent to enquiries@sightline-analytics.co.uk.
Information we may collect
We may collect the information you choose to provide, including your name, work email address, organisation, the problem you describe and any later business correspondence. The enquiry form may also record the original landing-page path, submission-page path, referring website domain, campaign labels and the service and organisation type you select. We carry the landing-page path, referring domain and campaign labels in links between pages on this site so they can accompany an enquiry. These fields are not used to identify you across visits, and we do not use cookies or persistent browser storage for this attribution. They are sent with the form when you submit an enquiry. Please do not put personal or confidential information in campaign labels. We may receive standard technical information needed to operate and secure the website, such as an IP address, browser information and basic server logs.
How we use it
We use personal information to respond to enquiries, arrange discovery and any qualified walkthrough, assess whether Sightline can help, deliver services, manage the resulting business relationship, understand which business-development activity generated an enquiry, maintain appropriate records, operate and secure the website, and meet legal obligations.
Discovery and walkthrough information
A qualified walkthrough is a client-led, high-level look at the relevant report, system or workflow. Please use redacted or representative information where possible and do not share passwords, access credentials, unnecessary confidential information, special-category personal data or other personal information that Sightline does not need. Walkthroughs are not recorded unless this is separately agreed in advance.
Business contacts and direct outreach
Where Sightline contacts someone in a business capacity, basic contact, role and organisation information may have been provided by their organisation, a business-data provider, a professional directory or another public business source. Sightline may use that information to send relevant, targeted B2B communications where it has assessed a legitimate interest in doing so.
You can object or opt out at any time by replying to the communication or using the contact details above. A limited suppression record may be retained so the objection can be respected. Sightline will provide more information about the source of contact data on request where required.
Our lawful basis
Depending on the context, we rely on legitimate interests in running and developing a responsible B2B consultancy, steps requested before entering a contract, performance of a contract, or compliance with a legal obligation. Where consent is required, it can be withdrawn for future use.
Who may receive information
We may use service providers for website hosting, business communications, document storage and professional administration. They are permitted to use information only for the agreed service and subject to appropriate safeguards. We do not sell personal information.
International transfers
Some service providers may process information outside the UK. Where this happens, Sightline assesses the transfer and seeks to use an appropriate legal mechanism and proportionate contractual or organisational safeguards.
How long we keep it
Information is kept only for as long as it remains necessary for the relevant enquiry, business relationship, attribution, security purpose and legal or record-keeping requirement. Records are reviewed in context rather than kept indefinitely. A limited suppression record may be kept for longer where needed to respect an objection to direct outreach.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may have rights to access, correct or erase personal information, restrict or object to its use, or receive certain information in a portable form. You can raise a request using the email address above. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.
Security and changes
Sightline takes proportionate technical and organisational steps intended to reduce the risk of loss, misuse or unauthorised access. No online service can provide an absolute guarantee. This notice may be updated when our services, providers or legal obligations change; the latest version will remain on this page.
