Data & Reporting

A clear view of your business. Numbers you can trust.

When finance, CRM and delivery systems tell different stories, every report starts with more checking. We connect the information, agree the definitions and build dependable reporting around the decisions your team needs to make.

A bounded starting example

A client-profitability view your managers can use.

One possible scope to discuss, tailored to your systems and agreed in a proposal. This is an illustrative engagement, not a client case study.

Start with

One agreed reporting period, fee and time exports from up to two source systems, a client list and delivery-cost assumptions approved by your finance lead.

What you take away

A reconciled client-level view of fees, recorded delivery cost and contribution, with unmatched records flagged. A manager can identify work to review, trace totals to the exports and follow documented refresh steps.

Where the scope stops

The proposal names the report, users, data checks and handover. Historical reconstruction, company-wide data clean-up, new live integrations and changes to client fees are separate decisions. Timing and fee depend on the agreed scope; this is not a promise of a shorter engagement.

What this looks like

Get the information you need, when you need it.

01

Management reporting without the monthly rebuild.

Bring the agreed finance, project and operational data into a repeatable reporting process. Give managers a clear view of revenue, margin and capacity, with less time spent assembling spreadsheets.

02

Figures that stand up to questions.

Make it clear what each measure includes, where the data comes from and when it was refreshed. Reconcile key totals and flag exceptions so the team can explain the figures with confidence.

These are examples, not client case studies. Your proposal defines what we will deliver for your business.

What is included

Know what you are getting.

01

Agreed measures

A defined set of business questions, reporting rules and calculations, agreed with the people who own the numbers.

02

Connected, checked data

The source connections and quality checks needed for your report, with assumptions and remaining limitations made visible.

03

A working reporting solution

Dashboards, management reports or forecasting views built around the agreed decisions, users and reporting rhythm.

04

A reliable refresh process

A clear schedule for updating the information, with checks and a named owner for issues that need attention.

05

Testing with your team

Reconciliation to source records, user testing and agreed acceptance checks before the report enters routine use.

06

Training and handover

Practical guidance for running the report, maintaining it and understanding its limits, with agreed operating responsibilities.

How the work happens

Progress you can follow.

You know what is happening, who is responsible and what comes next.

  1. 01

    Start with the decision.

Agree who needs the report, what it must answer and how success will be measured. Confirm the sources, scope and fixed fee.

  2. 02

    Build from dependable foundations.

Connect and check the data, resolve the definitions and develop the report in short cycles with your team.

  3. 03

Make it part of the working week.

Test the figures, train the users and hand over clear responsibilities for refreshes, exceptions and future changes.

A good fit

When this makes sense.

  • Important reporting takes too long to prepare or reconcile.
  • Teams disagree about definitions or work from different versions of the figures.
  • A finance or operations owner can provide access and agree the measures.
  • One dependable reporting outcome could justify the investment.

Before you commit

What the service does not cover.

  • The proposal defines the reports, source systems and data clean-up included.
  • We start with your existing tools. New infrastructure is agreed only where the outcome needs it.
  • Business definitions and accounting policies are approved by your responsible team.
  • Wider process redesign or major new requirements are separately scoped.

Practical questions

Before we get started.

Can you work with our existing spreadsheets and reporting tools?

Yes. We assess the tools and data you already have, including Excel and Power BI where relevant. We recommend new software only when the agreed outcome needs it.

How is this different from Operational Analytics & Improvement?

Data & Reporting gives you dependable information and a reporting process your team can run. Operational Analytics & Improvement investigates why performance is falling short and implements changes to the underlying workflow. We can help you choose the right starting point.

What happens before we commit?

We start with a free 30-minute discovery conversation. Where useful, one free walkthrough of up to 45 minutes follows, led by your team. These establish fit and scope at a high level. Detailed analysis, process mapping, solution design, prioritisation, a business case or a written roadmap require an agreed paid scope.

What happens after handover?

Your team can run the reporting internally or choose ongoing support. The project includes a 30-day window for in-scope defects against the agreed acceptance criteria. New work is scoped separately.
