Where this helps

Answer the questions behind the numbers.

01

Which work is profitable?

Compare revenue with the agreed costs of delivering a client engagement or project. See where recorded time, unbilled work or changes in scope need a closer look. Agree the definition of margin before putting it on a dashboard.

02

Where is capacity tight?

Connect committed work, team availability and expected demand. Give managers a shared view of utilisation and upcoming pressure so they can discuss workload with the people responsible.

03

Why does reporting take days?

Reduce recurring exports, reconciliations and copying between spreadsheets. Make source data, refresh dates and checks visible so the team knows how current the report is and where a figure came from.

How the work happens

Start with a decision. Build the report around it.

A dashboard is useful when someone can act on it. Liam works directly with the report owner and the people who prepare the information to agree what the report must show and how it will be used.

  1. 01

    Agree the measures.

Define the management question, users, reporting frequency and calculation rules. Record the current preparation effort and the checks the finished report must pass.

  2. 02

    Connect and check the data.

Confirm feasible access to the agreed finance, CRM, project or spreadsheet sources. Resolve the data issues within scope, reconcile key totals and document assumptions. Add a central data store only where needed.

  3. 03

    Test it with the team.

Build the report in short cycles, review it with users and compare it with the source records. Train the team and confirm who owns refreshes, exceptions and future changes before handover.

Built for routine use

What your team takes away.

An agreed management report

A dashboard or reporting pack for the chosen outcome, with the views and level of detail agreed in the proposal. It is built around your business definitions and the people using it.

Traceable numbers

Documented calculations, source connections and quality checks. Users can understand what each measure includes, when it was refreshed and what limitations remain.

A workable handover

Operating instructions, training and named responsibilities. Implementation includes a 30-day in-scope stabilisation window for defects against the agreed acceptance criteria.

Practical questions

Before we start.

Can you work with our spreadsheets and existing reporting tools?

Yes. We start with the systems you already use and confirm what data can be accessed. A new reporting tool or data platform is proposed only when the agreed outcome requires it.

What is the difference between a dashboard and management reporting?

A dashboard gives users a concise view of selected measures. Management reporting also needs agreed definitions, checks, a reporting schedule and responsibility for acting on the results. The project covers the parts needed to make the chosen report useful in practice.

How do we know whether the project has helped?

Agree a baseline and acceptance criteria before the build. Depending on the problem, track preparation time, recurring reconciliation issues, report availability or whether managers can answer the agreed questions. The measures are specific to your scope; savings are not guaranteed.
